HOME: Hot color combos for fall
When the seasons change in West Michigan, so do our moods. After a lovely summer spent outdoors, even the most die-hard vacation goers find comfort in winding down and getting cozy at home.
Fall is my favorite season for updating the look of my house because this is when I start to spend more and more time inside to enjoy my surroundings.
It doesn’t take much to change things up: a new rug, a colorful shade on an existing lamp, a couple of throw pillows or a fresh coat of paint can really make a big impact if you are on a budget (and who isn’t on one?).
Teal keeps things bright and happy while the rust still has a rich, cozy tone reminds us of the upcoming change of season.
If you already have teal items from your spring and summer decor, pairing it with rust is a great way to not only enjoy them longer, but it helps to stick to your decorating budget.
BLACK and WHITE
To really stretch your decorating dollars, invest in black and white accessories that can be moved from room to room, season after season.
The contrast of black and white will always be in style and the good news is it will match with any colors you already have in your home.
