Owl City’s Adam Young performing with Neon Trees and Maroon 5 in Grand Rapids Feb. 25
GRAND RAPIDS — Owl City musician Adam Young is looking forward to touring with Maroon 5 and Neon Trees while performing at their sold-out show in Grand Rapids.
On Feb. 25, the three groups will take the stage as part of Maroon 5′s North American Tour, which started earlier this month.
“It’s going great so far,” Young said of the tour, noting he toured with Maroon 5 in the past. “(This tour) we are supporting Maroon 5 and it’s great getting to know them again.”
Owl City is an American electronica musical project Young started in 2007.
Owl City will take the stage at 7:30 p.m. and will include a wide dynamic of both old and new songs.
For people who are not familiar with Young’s work, he described his show as a “whimsical experience.”
“The vibe of the music gives people an escape,” Young said. “A place to get carried away in or lost in.”
Young’s favorite song to perform changes from show to show, but currently likes performing “Dementia” for his fans.
Since reuniting with Maroon 5 to tour, Young said it’s nice to see how they have grown as performers.
“I’m very grateful,” Young said of his tour with Maroon 5 and Neon Trees.
Although the Feb. 25 show is sold out, people can still get tickets on sites such as Stubhub.com.
