Bluegrass band kicks of Zellie’s fall schedule
HOWARD CITY — Zellie’s Opry House in Howard City kicks off the 2013 fall concert series at 7 p.m. on Saturday with the ever-popular Steam Powered Bluegrass.
This regional band, boasting traditional sounds, has performed at the Grand Rapids’ Festival of the Arts, numerous music festivals and local restaurants throughout West Michigan. The Steam Powered boys are the ticket to an evening of delightful entertainment featuring the sounds of bluegrass and gospel music. Doors open at 6 p.m. and the stage show begins at 7 p.m.
Zellie’s also hosts an Acoustic Open Mic/Open Jam event on Friday. Local pickers and singers are welcome to take the stage and strut their stuff. Musicians and music lovers are welcome and admission is just a donation at the door.
